The Metrodata FC1200 is a cost effective plug and play method of connecting E1 2Mbps G.703 devices together over long haul singlemode fiber, e.g. extending either voice (PBX) or data (router) services over up to 70km of fiber.

The FC1200 provides a clear channel or unchannelised E1 path over the fiber, which means that the E1 source can be either framed or unframed.

The FC1200 offers both common E1 interface types: a BNC pair, and an RJ45 connector, whilst the fiber port has a dual SC singlemode fiber connector.

A status LED shows alarms on the E1 and fiber ports, and a bi-directional data loop is available.

Unit configuration is performed via bit switches.
