The APX ATM Interface Modules is a member of the APX Universal Interface Module range. The HSSI ATM Module has been designed primarily to interface to Satellite Modems to provide a flexible bandwidth ATM service across a satellite link. The APX HSSI ATM Module provide a single ATM interface port, configured as HSSI DTE allowing direct connection to a Satellite Modem. LED's are provided to indicate that real traffic is passing across the ATM interface. The HSSI ATM Module is "Hot Swappable" to ease maintenance with replacement modules recovering immediately without further configuration. The HSSI ATM module performs physical layer and ATM layer functions including framing, alarm processing and cell delineation. Flexible clock options remove network synchronisation problems. Statistics are gathered at all layers and loopbacks are available to aid diagnostic functions. OAM Alarm and Loopback functions are supported as per UNI 3.1. Management and configuration of the UNI Module is achieved via the simple menu driven user interface and may be monitored using SNMP Traps. Optionally, the UNI modules may be fitted with the Policing Module allowing individual PVC's to be monitored according to pre determined service levels and violating cells may be discarded or tagged as low priority. | | upto 51.84M (Max) | | HSSI, 50 way miniature AMP connector | | G.832 | | Internal / loop (DCE) | | LOS, LOF, AIS, RAI | | G.804 / ETS 300 213 PLCP | | variable upto 120670 @ 51.84M | | LOC, OAM-AIS, OAM-RDI | | ITU I.610 OAM | | 2 RFC1213, RFC1215 EN60950, EN55022, EN50082 | | 0-40C, 0-95% RH Non Condensing 86-106KPa | | 80-07-213 |
