The APX ASI Circuit Emulation Interface Module is a member of the APX Universal Interface Module range. The APX ASI CE Module enables connection to ASI (Asynchronous Serial Interface) devices, and provides a circuit emulation service for the ASI transport stream allowing ASI devices, such as video codecs and satellite modems to be connected using an ATM backbone connection. The ASI CE Module uses AAL.1 to adapt the transport stream to ATM cells. When used in framed mode, jitter reduction is applied to ensure that Video quality is not impaired. The ASI CE Module supports both MPEG-2 framed, or unframed transport streams. The ASI CE module supports both 188 byte and 204 byte MPEG frames. Transport stream rates from 600Kbits per second to 52Mbits per second are supported. Only a single transport stream is supported per interface module, PID based multiplexed streams are not supported. Management and configuration of the ASI CE Module is achieved via the simple menu driven user interface and may be monitored using SNMP Traps. Statistics are provided to aid diagnosis of network problems and for performance monitoring. Unframed Data over Satellite using ASI Modem. DVB Video over Satellite using remote production facility. | | | ASI, 270Mbits +/- 15ppm | | BNC, 75ohm | | 8B/10B | | < 100m | | Adaptive | | G.823 | | LOS, PLL, OOL | | Transparent | | 600kbits to 52Mbits per second | | 1Hz | | +/- 100 ppm | | LOF | | AAL.1 | | LOF | | EN 50083-9, ETS 300 813, ETS 300 814, J.82, I.363.1 AAL.1, MIB 2 RFC1213, RFC1215, EN60950, EN55022, EN50081, EN50082 | | 0-40C, 0-95% RH Non Condensing, 86-106KPa |
